Bo-Ty Florist was excited in August to be named in the Winston Salem

Journal as “Best Florist” in the 2nd annual Readers’ Choice Awards.

The florist business is very much about customer service. They deal in

emotions every day and are able to help people express their feelings of

joy, of celebration, of caring, and of sorrow. At Bo-Ty, they don’t take

Miller Winston reports how the company started and how the company has

grown into a multi-location funeral service provider, serving the families

of Winston-Salem and the surrounding areas.
In 1961, W. Paul Hayworth and Robert F. Miller saw an opportunity and

purchased Manuel Funeral Home, located at 619 East Fifth Street in downtown

Winston-Salem, renaming it Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home. After four years

at this location, Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home relocated to 3315 Silas

Creek Parkway.

Hi, I'm Ericka Miller. I joined the WXII 12 News team in May of 2011 as the weekend news and sports anchor. Prior to coming to the Piedmont, I spent the first six years of my career at KAAL-TV in Rochester, Minnesota. I started right out of college as a reporter and eventually worked my way up to the main spot as the 6 & 10 weeknight anchor.
